As a Nonprofit, we rely on donations from individuals and other associations to succeed.
We plan to create a forested escape for the community and eventually include training on sword fighting, blacksmithing, leather working, sewing, and sustainable farming practices. Whether you find your fame through our community quest board, or by singing of your party’s tale on the bard’s stage. Forge your path within the Adventurer’s Respite (TM)!

Step One:
The first step is to acquire land! We may accomplish this phase of planning with just $300,000 in donations due to grants that require a 1:1 community match.
Step Two:

Step two is plantings! We likely will need another $100,000 to ensure this is a densely planted, wooded paradise for humans and animals. To this end, the land we obtain will be used to conserve and restore local ecosystems: emphasizing plantings that are native and/or drought tolerant and/or encourage pollinators like bees and butterflies.
We also plan to incorporate solar power, sustainable building methods with recycled or reused materials, and to build in a fire safe, earthquake safe, and natural disaster resistant fashion. Our hope, in doing so, is to be able to offer refuge to the community as a safe location to evacuate to in the event of natural disasters.
We further plan to use the land to increase biodiversity elsewhere through a native plant nursery which will sell low cost native or drought tolerant plantings to re-green the area.
Step Three:
Step three is when we start construction! A medieval tavern for a central refuge in a forested clearing, with a community garden for fueling some of the main courses. Excess crops and tavern food will be donated to local food pantries. Giving back to the community is central to all of our plans.

In order to host events on the grounds more conveniently to our visitors, we plan to create sustainable, energy efficient underground housing with plantings on the grassy rooftops to encourage butterflies, bees, and other beautiful beasts for guests to enjoy.
Step Four:
Finally, step four is where the public comes in: utilizing our grounds to grow their own vegetables, LARPing with friends in the fields, gaming at our upstairs TTRPG gaming tables, attending Renaissance Fairs and Goblin Sieges, or simply enjoying the local bazaar (farmer’s market).

This dream is not possible without your help. Many grants we are seeking require community matching funds, dollar for dollar. Donate below to help make this dream a reality!
